Experience Matters when our City is Growing So Fast
Families need a Council that Protects Values
Vaughan families are paying enough, that is why I fought for and council approved a 0% City Property Tax increase for 2026 with no impact on service delivery. I shall continue to keep Fiscal Prudence at the top of the Local AND Regional Council agenda.
House prices are high and rental vacancies historically low which is why I voted for a temporary stop on development charges to keep construction costs down and local jobs up.
Growth of our City resulting from its continued success has brought Unacceptable Traffic Gridlock. I voted for an historic $503 million transportation and mobility budget to build out our Road Networks. Projects such as the Kirby Road Connection will increase precious capacity on our East-West routes. Keeping up the pressure on our established Provincial and Federal partnerships to expedite ongoing repair projects which hold up traffic daily is also key.
Road Safety is top of mind as we work with the Province over the next 5 years and see $5 million invested in education, signage and traffic calming measures to Improve Safety on our Local and Regional roads.
“Vaughan is a strong city, and the job now is to protect that quality of life while addressing what still frustrates residents”

What Matters Most
GINO’S Priorities for the NEXT Term of Local & Regional Council
TRANSPORTATION
“Expediting the build-out of our East-West routes is a priority”
Phase 1 of the Kirby Road connection will open this Summer as will the Terry Fox bridge but transit improvement projects are falling behind demand. Innovative solutions are required to move peak traffic in the meantime.

housing affordability
“A Roof over your head is a Fundamental Right”
Demand for Housing grows apace and significantly outstrips supply.
Incentivizing construction through lowering Development Costs is a short-term tool to increase housing supply – a collaborative, multi-government level approach is required to alleviate pressures on residents in the long term.
safer roads
“Road Safety is a Shared Responsibility”
Speed limits and traffic controls are in place for everyone’s protection and must be respected.
At the same time, road safety is a shared responsibility. This includes drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and users of other devices, especially e-bikes.

TAXES
“I have always worked hard to maximize every dollar in order to keep taxes amongst the lowest in the GTA.“
Vaughan’s 2026 budget delivers welcome cost-of-living relief with no increase to the City’s portion of property taxes while continuing to invest in the services, infrastructure and safety residents rely on every day.
It’s a balanced approach that keeps Vaughan affordable and growing.
ENVIRONMENT
“Our parks, trails and green spaces are vital to our personal wellbeing and mental health”
They are also important green corridors to traverse our city.
North Maple Regional Park is the emerald in our green crown. So much more than a collection of sports fields, it is a nationally recognized environmental success story that continues to blossom through the NMRP Master Plan.
